This gripping drama tells the story of four Black "sisters"
- among some 20-40 thousand Black men, women and children - who left
the deep South in the late 1800s and developed the all Black town
of Nicodemus, Kansas. All goes well until the younger sister returns
from London with her mulatto husband who attempts to sell her share
of the property to land speculators.
