Director's Notes

L.O.V.E. Love makes the world go 'round and is found in the strangest places. I believe in love. An embrace, a hug, a wink, a peck, a kiss, a touch, a memory, a twinge, a heart's flutter or a knock your socks off feeling. Love of self, love of family, love of mankind and God's steadfast love speaks to our souls.

STOP RIGHT NOW! Close your eyes and think of all the people that you love; today tell them that you love them. Miss Dessa is a beautiful love story about relationships, about a family; sisters to sister, brother-in-law to sisters, husband to wife, nephew to aunt/uncle, son to mother and father and memories and man to woman. Miss Dessa gives us the change to rekindle romance, to rediscover self, to share with siblings, to be loved, to love, to need and to want.

The Bible says, "delight thy self in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." My desire is to love and be loved.

Playwright's Notes

Miss Dessa is a fast paced show about the good and the bad in male and female relationships, and the good and the bad between sisters.
